We take canine health seriously. All of our dogs are DNA tested and cleared of major genetic conditions including Primary Open Angle Glaucoma, Thrombopathia, X-Linked Severe Combined Immunodeficiency, and Lafora Disease, using trusted results from PawPrint Genetics.
Our dogs participate in AKC events, and we are proud of the consistent positive feedback we receive from judges in the show ring. Naturally laid-back and low-energy, Bassets enjoy leisurely walks and plenty of cuddle time. While they can be a bit stubborn, they respond well to patient, positive-reinforcement training. Their distinct appearance combined with their sweet, easygoing temperament makes them a favorite among dog lovers.
